Amanda Birkenholz and Dr. Alexander Huber become partners at UVC Partners

Munich, Germany – September 8, 2026 – Amanda Birkenholz and Dr. Alexander Huber have been appointed to the partnership of UVC Partners. With this step, UVC Partners widens its partnership and underlines the long-term development of the fund.

Amanda Birkenholz has been part of the UVC Partners investment team since 2021, and Alexander Huber joined as Chief Financial Officer in 2020. Both have shaped UVC Partners significantly over the years. The existing partners remain active in their roles long-term, and Amanda Birkenholz's and Dr. Alexander Huber's portfolio responsibilities and areas of focus remain unchanged.

Amanda Birkenholz: Operator turned investor

Most recently, Amanda Birkenholz served as Principal at UVC Partners. Her focus is on DeepTech, particularly chemicals, physical AI, defense and space, as well as software topics close to hardware. She sits or has sat on the advisory boards of several portfolio companies, including Inleap Photonics, Alqem AI, Cyclize, Radical Dot, DeepDrive, planqc, and STABL.

She studied industrial mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen and gained experience at Bombardier, including setting up a headquarters in Bangkok. She then founded her own company and took on responsibility in her family business. Along the way, she developed a close understanding of what building a company actually requires.

Joining the partnership is a very long-term decision for me: I want to help develop UVC Partners towards where we want to be, a leading European fund with early and growth vehicles. My engineering background, along with my experience in building startups and working in a corporation, enables me to assess products and technology early on while being on eye-level with the founders,” says Amanda Birkenholz, Partner at UVC Partners

Dr. Alexander Huber: First partner from outside the investment team

Most recently, Dr. Alexander Huber served as Chief Financial Officer at UVC Partners. His focus is on finance, legal, and compliance as well as on fund structuring, controlling, and risk management. He has supported several portfolio companies with structuring financing rounds and on finance and governance questions, including Isar Aerospace and FINN.

He holds a PhD in entrepreneurial finance from TU Darmstadt and a master's degree in Management & Technology from the Technical University of Munich, and he is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Since joining, he has shaped UVC Partners above all by treating excellent operational and regulatory standards as a competitive advantage rather than an obligation.

"I do not compete for deals. I build the platform that makes our investments possible in the first place. I bring the perspective of an entrepreneur who thinks of UVC Partners as a firm: structure, scalability, governance, and long-term institutionalization. Our company is at a turning point, moving from an established fund manager to an institutional platform. This phase of professionalization is exactly the moment when these topics have the greatest leverage," says Dr. Alexander Huber, Partner and CFO at UVC Partners.

"We are very pleased to welcome Amanda and Alexander to the partnership. For us, this is the next logical step in planning the firm's future. Both bring perspectives that we need for our coming growth phase," says Benjamin Erhart, General Partner at UVC Partners.

Andreas Unseld, General Partner at UVC Partners, adds: "Amanda brings technical depth and her own entrepreneurial experience to the table, and Alexander delivers the structure our investments build on. Anchoring both roles at partner level now shows how we want to set up UVC Partners for the long term."
